Balinese kittens
The long-haired Siamese. Silky fur, a plumed tail and the same devoted personality, from some of the oldest Traditional Siamese lines in America.

Graceful like a Bali dancer
Balinese are so graceful and elegant, like ballerina dancers that glide across the dance floor. That's how the name came about: from the graceful dancers of Bali, and from Siam. Thanks to the Siamese, the Balinese was born from a spontaneous mutation that produces longer hair.
The coat isn't thick like a Persian's. It's very silky, with a soft undercoat and a bushy tail as beautiful as a peacock's plumage.

Personality
Balinese are more laid back than the short-haired Siamese, sweet and gentle. Like the Siamese, they want to be part of your life in every way, more like a dog than a cat.
They're smart and easy to train to walk on a harness and play fetch. They're gentle with kids, get along with dogs, travel well, and greet visitors at the door instead of hiding.
Their meow is softer than a Siamese's. They bond deeply with their people and stay close when you're sad or sick. Balinese can live into their late teens and early 20s.
About allergies
People who can't have cats because of allergies can often tolerate a Balinese. Some people are allergic to cats because of the protein in their saliva: when a cat licks its fur, the protein dries on the fur and becomes dander. So it's the amount of protein in the saliva that causes the reaction, and Balinese have very low protein in their saliva, which has been tested and proven.
Some people could still have an allergic reaction, but the symptoms will be less. They are not allergy-free. If you or your children have a severe allergy, a Balinese can still cause a reaction, so please don't buy one only for that reason.
Grooming
Grooming is easy and strengthens the bond with you. Balinese don't shed much, but brush them 3 to 4 times a week to remove loose hair.
I brush the kittens as they grow so they're easy to groom later. As soon as they see the brush, they come running.

Reserving a Balinese
Over the years a few Balinese turned up in my Siamese litters and found their way into my heart. Now I breed them, from the same old Traditional Siamese lines. Balinese have the same personality as Siamese. They love their human family and bond deeply.
When you get a kitten from me it will be very socialized. I put much time into them and handle them from the day they're born to the day they go to their new family. Some breeders don't do this and keep them in cages, which produces a very shy, unfriendly cat afraid of its own shadow. My kittens are never in cages and are very healthy and robust, full of life and vitality.
They sell quickly. To put a deposit on a future Balinese kitten, contact me for information and pricing.
